When people think of Esther Nkatha Gatuma, they think gospel music. But Esther’s appeal transcends her gospel music achievements. People far and wide have been inspired by her warm personality, her drive and sense of humor. She was recently honored as a hero on the Oprah Winfrey show for her outstanding compassionate work with a practical gospel that has rescued hundreds of child brides from human trafficking. Governor Mike Beebe of the state of Arkansas also celebrated her compassion for helpless women and girls around the world by writing her a congratulatory message on behalf of the entire state of Arkansas. The message held her in high esteem for outstanding global nonprofit leadership in the year 2010. Glory to God in the highest!

For more than three decades, vocalist, composer and speaker Esther Nkatha Gatuma has been an integral, innovative and bestselling part of African contemporary gospel music. With Great Day /Siku Njema, the sophomore recording of her illustrious career, she pays homage to the great African and American songwriters of the 21st century whose masterful works inspired her own development as one of the most diverse and popular contemporary Afro-fusion performers of the last half century. Esther has been featured on ABC news, Democrat Gazette and global media outlets because of the work that Jesus Christ has done on her life. She is also a recipient of a certificate of achievement for recognition in outstanding contribution to worldwide missions by the Economic Empowerment forum of business women in Arkansas.

She is a modern day Esther for her community in Kenya petitioning for women in their community to eliminate the stigma that causes many young women around the world to undergo harmful cultural practices and human trafficking. As President and founder of a 501 c3 nonprofit Woman of Paradise in December 2010, the rescued 678 child brides that had been reported by the media to be hiding in the forest in Kenya.

Esther is certified by the American association of nurses and medical professionals for the Jefferson comprehensive care to speak for the affected and infected HIV/AIDS victims among the Caucasians, blacks and Hispanics. She is a powerful speaker that inspires people to be thankful for their blessings with triumphant testimonies of the women and girls that she has rescued around the world.
